Parents/Caregivers - join us ONLINE to learn new ideas and activities to make reading FUN for you and your child at home. After each session, families who participate will receive a free book. The program is intended for parents/caregivers who have children ages 3 - 6 years old. Children do not need to attend the virtual meetings, but are welcome to join.

Beyond BOW (Becoming an Outdoors Woman) – Ancient Technology, Sherburne House, Springbrook State Park, 2437 160th Road, Guthrie Center, IA.
Escape for a weekend and learn ancient skills! Disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature. This weekend will focus on learning to master flint knapping, atlatl, fire by friction with a bow drill, and weaving pine needle baskets. Naturalists from Iowa DNR, Shelby County Conservation and Louisa County Conservation will be hosting the event.
