Friday, November 1. This a day camp for children ages 5-10. The theme for the day is Pete the Cat. It will be from 9am-3pm. We will have a rockin' good time doing science experiments, reading Pete the Cat, and many activities. Cost is $10, with registration form. Children need to bring a sack lunch. Snack provided.

Friday, November 29 and Saturday, November 30. The annual celebration held in the Danish Villages of Elk Horn & Kimballton on the Friday and Saturday following Thanksgiving. Both communities will be festively decorated for Christmas, and many local businesses and organizations offer activities.

It's the Annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony, Saturday, November 30, 5 - 7 pm on the Historic Downtown Square in Harlan. This event is hosted by the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce & Industry. 

Make sure to be there at 5 pm. Santa will be making an appearance to count down the lighting of the holiday tree and then visit with area children. Santa and his helpers (Chamber staff) will be on the east side of the square next to the tree.

Bring the family to enjoy free sugar cookies, hot chocolate and to chat with Santa.
