The North Dakota chapters of SCORE will present a workshop: "Building Stronger Nonprofits: North Dakota SCORE's Workshop on Organizational Management. The workshop will be held on September 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.The workshop will be hosted in Fargo, Grand Forks, Bismarck and Minot, North Dakota and Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Seating will be limited at each of these locations, and we will allow only 2 people per organization to attend in person. It will also be available via ZOOM for those who cannot attend at one of the onsite locations.
Topics will include social entrepreneurship, business model canvas for entrepreneurs, board of directors – recruiting and engagement, strategic planning, grant writing, friend raising, volunteer recruitment, and marketing communications.
Speakers will include:
Cindy Miles – CEO Kansas Nonprofit Chamber, Bree Langemo - Director of Concordia College Center for Entrepreneurship, Dennis Elbert – Dean Emeritus dean of the College of Business and Public Administration, University of North Dakota, Del Carver – SCORE District Director: North Dakota, South Dakota, and West Central MN, Della Kapocius – Former Grant Writer for the Center for Innovation, more to be announced.

Grand Forks Growth and Support Center (GFGSC) has been chosen as the recipient of Tidal Wave Auto Spa's Car Wash Charity Day! 50% of all proceeds from the event will go to GFGSC and will be used towards the purchase of an accessible vehicle! GFGSC is a provider of services for adults and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Please stop by the event and donate or go through the awesome carwash that day to support GFGSC!

The 3rd Annual Valley Senior Living Oktoberfest at the Alerus Center. Enjoy an evening of German cuisine and brews, Oktoberfest-themed games and activities, craft beer tasting, and live music by Matt Hodek & the Dakota Dutchmen. Proceeds benefit the Community Connections program at Valley Senior Living with a focus on keeping Valley Senior Living residents connected to the community with life enrichment opportunities.
