The Virginia Department of Small Business & Supplier Diversity (SBSD) and the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce are hosting a live SWaM Lab Workshop to assist with your firm's SWaM application. We’ll go through the process from start to finish and scan / upload the necessary documents.
The goal of this workshop is to get you across the finish line of the SWaM application process.
You need to bring your own laptop.
The list of required documents is attached below (Named SWaM Supporting Documents), you should upload those documents onto your laptop.
Everyone should have their
- EIN – if you do not have an EIN you can get it from the IRS website, takes about 15 minutes -- https://www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employed/apply-for-an-employer-identification-number-ein-online
- Birth Certificate or Passport or Permanent Resident Card or Certificate of Naturalization
- Valid Driver’s License

After you register you will receive an application that you need to complete and send to taty@vahcc.com by February 19 to be considered for the clinic.
After submitting your application, an LISC, Capital One or McGuireWoods representative may contact you to ask additional questions about your small business and the specific legal assistance you are requesting. If you are eligible for services through the clinic, you will be required to sign an agreement outlining the terms of the services to be provided to you.
