The White Bear Area YMCA provides over $200,000 dollars a year in financial assistance to Youth, Individuals, Families and Seniors facing financial struggles, so they can participate in YMCA programs and services thanks to our generous donors. Many people see the Y as a “gym and swim” but we are so much more. The needs continues to rise and so the WBA Y will be holding our 1st annual “Fore the Y!” Golf Tournament. This event will help us raise additional funds along with providing the community more awareness to all that the YMCA truly does and offers in our community. We are proud to say that 100% of all proceeds from this event will stay right here in the White Bear Area to meet those needs. Fashion for Alzheimer’sFriday, August 12th from 4-9, show starts at 7pm 7 Vines presents our 2nd Annual Fashion for Alzheimer's Charity Event featuring, Athleta, Primp, designs by Laura Hlavac and Leela and Lavender! Sarah from Purposely Fashion will also be on-site providing color analysis! Relax in a casual and welcoming winery atmosphere as local boutiques showcase current and upcoming fashion trends. Enjoy everyday models as they interact and wander throughout this magical venue. Tunes by DJ Greg Ellis, raffles, live mannequins, shopping before & after the show, and of course plenty of your favorite 7 Vines wine! Our emcee for the evening is 3x Emmy Award winning television Sports Host, Ann Carroll. VIP tickets $65: Min 4 or 6 tickets (won’t show up on Tock unless you select 4 or 6 tickets). Early shopping access and Pre-Party from 4-5pm. Pre-party includes a 7 Vines logo glass to use for the night. 1 complimentary glass of wine and snacks. You will have the opportunity to tour and learn more about the operations of Minnesota's first Mead Hall! Josh and his team have been busy crafting new Meads for your to try and still focus on locally sourced ingredients for all of their Meads. All are invited and don't forget your business cards!
About Mead
In short, mead is a honey wine. In its simplest form, honey and water fermented by yeast much like beer and wine. Though the essence of mead is oft on the varietal of honey used, many recipes call for a supporting cast of fruits, spices, and other exciting ingredients. Our focus is on locally sourced ingredients. Our star ingredient is Minnesota harvested honey that we blend with many other fresh local ingredients. Local strawberries, raspberries, maple syrup and apples to name a few. We educate the uninitiated in our tasting room by sip and story. Come drink like a Viking, Drink Mead
