If you haven't experienced Tough Mudder yet, we are a muddy obstacle endurance series that travels around the world, pushing people out of their comfort zone, and promoting an adventurous lifestyle with no excuses. Every Tough Mudder event is built on the foundation of teamwork and features world-class obstacles.
We are coming to the Twin Cities Area and looking for volunteers! Typically, we work with local Chambers of Commerce, Sports Commissions, and Travel Boards to help get the word out. They utilize their own volunteer databases through email and social media. If you are interested, I have outlined the event details below and attached event flyers to this email. Throughout its pages, White Bear Lake Magazine showcases our lake community in a multitude of ways, and one of our favorite methods is through our annual photo contest—Lens on the Lake. Photographers of all abilities are encouraged to share their images that showcase fresh and artistic angles of our beloved community.
Previously, we’ve encouraged readers to offer their submissions during the month of August. This year, the photo contest will be open during July and August.
After the contest closes, photos are carefully reviewed and voted on by members of our editorial and art departments. (Runners-up and honorable mentions are selected as the number and quality of photos allow.) Subject matter, photo quality and reflection of the community are all taken under review.
Winners, runners up and honorable mentions in the following NEW categories receive consideration for photo placement in an upcoming issue of White Bear Lake Magazine and on
our website and social media pages.
Photo Contest Rules and Details
Submissions are accepted at whitebearlakemag.com between July 1–August 31.
Entrants must live, work or attend school in White Bear Lake.
Entrants may submit up to five photos, with no more than three in any category.
Photos should be taken in White Bear Lake.
Generally, photos should have been taken within a year of the submission date.
Readers are invited to vote online for their favorite photo submissions in the Readers’ Choice category between September 15–September 30.

Just 1 week left to “pre-register” for the 20th Annual Morrissey Hospitality Golf Classic!
As we mentioned, this year, we're taking things to the next level by doubling in size!
That's right, we're welcoming double the players, double the golf, and double the fun!
In honor of the 20th Anniversary, we will be opening the golf classic to the public on May 3, 2023.
So, it’s time to clean up those clubs, shine those shoes AND…
Register Today!
Of course, the real winner of the day is the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities.
All proceeds from the silent auction, and on-course games & activities go directly to supporting their programs.
On behalf of Morrissey Hospitality, we thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you on July 21, 2023.
