'The company is a family business that has been built on creative energy and a long tradition of helping people with their products. Founder William Boss was a strong believer in the saying “Necessity is the mother of invention.” He was an agricultural engineer by training, and he received numerous patents for his inventions, which included a lawn mower – grass collector (1902), a clothesline reel (1912), and a garden hose reel (1918). Boss founded The Specialty Mfg. Co. in 1900 to produce, market and sell many of his own inventions. His firm emerged as a leading custom manufacturing company in the Twin Cities.'

You select the time between between 10:00am - 2:00pm on October 20th to beautify Highway 61! Since 1990 the White Bear Area Chamber has been an "Adopt A Highway" sponsor, cleaning up a 2 mile stretch of Highway 61 that runs through the downtown area of White Bear Lake. You will simply start your time by watching an important safety video and we'll provide the safety vests, gloves, trash bags and trash pickers and send you on your way! Snacks will be provided upon your return! Children must be 13 years or older and supervised by an adult. Please note your email upon registering!

James has decades of experience advising employers and was a plaintiff’s attorney for many years before joining USI. He is a frequent speaker at trade shows and conferences and is a popular instructor at the University of Minnesota’s College of Continuing and Professional Studies. James received his law degree from University of Minnesota, and his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
