North Country Counseling is a growing health and wellness private practice that offers counseling services for professionals, individuals, families, groups and couples in a safe, welcoming environment. We are a group of down to earth humans that pride ourselves on being real, authentic and transparent with the individuals, couples, families, and professionals we have the honor to serve. Our providers work collaboratively within our team and with community providers to be able to provide excellent, comprehensive care that is individualized to each of our clients. We are working to close gaps in rural communities by providing mental health care services face to face and via tele-health throughout Minnesota and South Dakota's rural communities. LMHC is a private non-profit 501(c)3 corporation that has provided behavioral healthcare services in west central Minnesota since 1949. LMHC has a thirteen (13) member Governing Board comprised of community members representing our service area.

To meet this broad mission and to be responsive to identified needs, many community partnerships have been formed with area schools, clinics and other community providers to ensure coordinated care for our clients ranging in age from from children to seniors. This ensures services can be brought closer to clients who do not live near an LMHC clinic.

Since 1949, LMHC has been providing evaluation and therapy services to residents in West Central Minnesota with offices in Fergus Falls, Moorhead, Detroit Lakes, Alexandria, Glenwood and Perham. Our expert staff includes psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, clinical nurse specialists, registered nurses, licensed marriage and family counselors, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors, Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselors and mental health practitioners.
