Baldwin E.M.S is the Emergency Medical Service that provides EMS as well as medically directed rescue to the communities of Baldwin Borough, Pleasant Hills Borough, West Mifflin Borough, and Whitaker Borough. The response area is 25 square miles with a resident population of 66,000. Our business and travel visitors can cause our population to double during daylight hours. Baldwin EMS manages and leads a team of Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics while they deliver Advanced Life Support care to the residents and visitors to our communities.

STAT MedEvac, a service of the not-for-profit Center for Emergency Medicine of Western Pennsylvania, Inc., provides medical helicopter transport to patients with critical illness and/or injuries. The organization, which operates seventeen base sites, is directed by a consortium of hospitals: UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside, Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, and UPMC Mercy Hospital.
