This Legion Post has one of the most sweeping views of the harbor and marina that can be seen on the island. The bar is open to all American Legion members and Canadian Legion members. State Liquor Law restricts bar access to American Legion members, guests of members and members of veterans organizations.

The Friday Harbor Animal Protection Society, is a private, nonprofit animal welfare organization. We are proud to serve the people and animals of San Juan Island with a variety of programs including adoptions, low income spay/neuter vouchers, dog licensing and humane education for children of all ages. Building a community of compassion is our goal through adoption of homeless pets, humane education, abuse investigation, and community outreach and leadership.
Situated in the heart of Friday Harbor, a newly re-purposed building provides a dramatic backdrop for your event. The mission is to foster a vibrant and sustainable local food system in San Juan County, Washington.
Summer residential camp for children, ages 9-16, offering 4 sessions 2-3 weeks in length. Learn French language and French culture. Also kayaking, sailing, archery, theater, French cuisine, and photography. Family camp too.

The Friends of the San Juan Island Library (a.k.a. the Friends) exist as a patron advocacy group whose activities include fundraising events, bi-monthly newsletters, an annual membership meeting, and financial support for a variety of library programs and purchases. The annual individual membership fee includes admittance to the July Annual Used Book Sale. The Friends raise over $15,000 a year to help support library activities.
