Parade Registration - Frontier Days 2024
Join the Tecumseh community for the annual Frontier Days Parade on September 28th. This year's theme is "Who We Are." We want to see floats that depict the people, businesses, and all other entities that make Tecumseh unique and special.
Registration is open until midnight on September 26th. Participants who do not pre-register will be placed at the end of the parade. The parade will start at 10:00 a.m. and will proceed from Locust Street through downtown Tecumseh.
***REMINDER: DO NOT THROW ITEMS FROM VEHICLES! To ensure the safety of our children, throwing any items from floats or vehicles along the parade route is prohibited. Distribute treats, candy, or other items using walkers along the sidewalk to prevent children from running onto the street and into the path of the parade.***
The map and parade line up listing will be emailed to you the day before the parade and listed on our Frontier Days Facebook page along with the Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
Check in will be held at First Baptist Church located at 301 S. Broadway St. Tecumseh, OK beginning at 8:00 a.m. through 9:00 a.m.
Reminders will be sent as the event date nears. Expect further communications regarding check-in and event timings about two weeks prior to the event.

TROPHIES WILL BE AWARD TO THE TOP 3 FLOATS/ENTRIES IN THE BUSINESS, CLUB/ORGANIZATION and YOUTH CATEGORIES; along with an OVERALL WINNER and RUNNER UP.
Float Judging Criteria
A panel of judges will determine the best float entries by using the following criteria.
A maximum of 75 points may be earned from each of the judges.
Judges will be pre-selected by the Chamber of Commerce and remain private until the parade time.
Overall Appearance (0-25 Points)
• Does the float look good?
• Does the float adhere to the Tecumseh Frontier Days Theme of Remember When?
• Does the float promote spirit and support for the History of Tecumseh
• Does the float appropriately represent the City of Tecumseh
Construction Quality (0-25 Points)
• How well is the float put together?
• Difficultly of the construction?
• Will the float last through the parade?
• Does it look safe?
Originality (0-15 Points) • Is it something out of the ordinary?
• Is the idea of the float projecting the theme of Remember When creatively?
Extra Points (0-10 Points)
• Awarded for: Moveable parts, gimmicks, encompassing traits of Tecumseh and the theme "Who We Are."
