About Us
Studio 31 at the Mesquite campus on Yucca St is a spacious studio with top of the line kilns, wheels, slab roller, and extruder. The Student Supply Outlet (SSO) located next door has a huge selection of glazes, tools, and poured ceramics ready to be painted and fired.
Pottery classes for kids and adults are fun, creative, and small to ensure individual attention. The Virgin Valley Artists Association is a non-profit focused on bringing art programs to the Virgin Valley. Our relaxed and comfortable pottery studio offers something for everyone from beginner to expert potters. Classes are being taught in handbuilding, throwing, glazing, and raku each week. Come be creative, social, and inspired...come have FUN!
Mike “Satch” Fletcher
The vibrant, abstract images that permeate "Satch's" collection are interpreted by many viewers to be the artist's expression of a particular feeling or meaningful event. When asked what the source of inspiration for his work is, the answer is always the same. "The images and colors do not come from me but rather through me. It is a gift from a higher power, a collective energy that comes from the universe depicting the reality of what life force is." Often he will slip away quietly to be alone in the mornings to meditate and contemplate his next piece. "Images and colors begin coming to mind but once I start to work, the painting takes on a life of its own, the only thing that remains the same when I finish are the colors." If a viewer is reminded of an experience or moved by what they see in the painting, then they have received the gift that was intended. For the more conventional viewer, Satch's collection includes watercolors and acrylics of serene landscapes or skylines in soft tones that are soothing to the eye and spirit. The artist put it simply, "I paint what I see". Although Satch's love of nature is evident in his landscapes, his pure artistic passion is expressed in the abstract paintings which are better described as events of the soul.

Char Lang
For Char Lang happiness is playing with color, lines, shapes and texture and sharing these experiences with others.
Over the years Char has worked in many mediums ......watercolor, collage, relief printing, silk screening, fiber arts, and pottery.
"Hopefully, my work expresses my love of nature and animals and reveals my interest in many subjects."
Char's work resides in many homes around the world.
Art is solving problems, expressing oneself, applying rules, playing, trying new things and just doing, practicing and continual learning and experimenting and asking what if.
