Established in 1990 as a modest 2,008-square-foot facility, it has since expanded to a 5,464-square-foot space in 2012. With the generous donation of a 1.63-acre parcel by the City of Mesquite, the library underwent a significant transformation, culminating in the construction of a new 13,313-square-foot building. This expansion allowed for the creation of the library’s Learning Center, featuring the EmployNV Career Hub, providing valuable resources for job seekers and career development.
Today, the Mesquite Library stands as a beacon of knowledge and community engagement, housing a collection of 29,000 volumes. It serves as a vital resource for the diverse population of over 21,000 residents in Mesquite and the surrounding areas. The library's commitment to education and enrichment is evident in its wide array of programs and services, catering to the needs and interests of the community.
