About Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach - Also Serving Saddleback Area
Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach - Also Serving Saddleback Area
The Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach, which also serves children in the Saddleback Valley area, was founded in 1952 by a group of caring, concerned citizens who recognized that young people needed a safe, enriching, and fun place to spend their time when not in school. Since then, we have grown the depth and breadth of our impact, currently serving over 3,000 young people ages 3 - 18 each day (during and after school) at 10 sites in Laguna Beach, Lake Forest, and Mission Viejo. What sets Boys & Girls Clubs apart from other youth-serving agencies is our mandate to never turn away a child due to financial circumstances. This is why community support is the bedrock of our impact.
Our Mission
To empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as healthy, caring, and contributing members of society. We promote the healthy social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development needed to thrive in life.
Our Core Beliefs: Boys & Girls Club provides:
- A safe place to learn and grow
- Ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals
- Life-enhancing programs and character development experiences
- Hope and opportunity
From preschool to high school, we give young people the edge they need to discover their talents, develop life skills, and reach their potential. We welcome and serve a diverse community of youth regardless of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or gender expression.
We employ over 60 trained youth development professionals to mentor young people and help them gain the relationships, skills, and attitudes to make sure success is within reach throughout their lives.
