About Us

The Art Room will soon be moving to it's new home on the square in Monroeville, AL! After being in business for nearly 10 years it will now be adding an art gallery and art supplies will soon be available for purchase! The Art Room offers both open and private art parties for adults and children, as well as private lessons and an outstanding summer art camp for kids! The gallery will open mid-April, spot-lighting artwork from both established and newly emerging artists. Many venues of artistic creativity will be found in The Art Room! We hope that you will join us in celebrating!

An art fundraiser being sponsored by The Art Room will be
held to benefit Ella Beth Barlow on Sunday afternoon, August 1, from 2:00-4:00 at the Excel Assembly of God in Excel, Alabama. A portion of the proceeds raised will be given to the Barlow family to help with medical expenses for Ella Beth. To reserve your seat please call The Art Room at 743-2190. Art Room hours are Tuesday-Friday 10:00-5:00 and Saturday 9:00-1:00. The class is open to anyone over the age of 8 and is suitable for beginners and more experienced painters, as well. Please come join us!

In conjunction with the outdoor showing of "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" on the courthouse lawn on Tuesday evening, August 3, The Art Room will be offering a drawing and watercolor painting class to children age 5 and up . Come learn to draw and paint your favorite characters from the movie at 6:00 p.m. and be finished just in time for the start of the movie! Cost is $15 per child. No reservations are necessary but seating is limited and the class will be filled on a first come basis.

Beginning on August 17, afterschool Group Painting Classes for Children will be as follows...


Children currently enrolled in K-5 and 1st grades Tuesdays from 3:30-4:45
Children currently enrolled in 2nd and 3rd grades Wednesdays from 3:30-4:45
Children currently enrolled in 4th, 5th and 6th grades Thursdays from 3:30-4:45

Cost is $15 per student per lesson Cost includes all necessary supplies.

Beginning this month different size canvas' are being offered for some of the scheduled paintings. Cost is the same regardless of the size painting you choose to do. The canvas size option IS NOT available for all paintings. You can choose the size of your canvas when you arrive to do your painting.
