Staley Credit Union (Staley CU), located at 3330 N. Woodford St., Decatur, IL, is a not-for-profit financial cooperative founded in 1930 to support the employees of A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company. Over time, Staley CU has expanded its services to the general public within its designated service areas. We are committed to providing a comprehensive range of financial products, including traditional banking, online and mobile banking, loan offerings, and credit cards. Our members benefit from advanced technology, higher returns on savings, and lower loan rates.
At Staley CU, we adhere to the credit union philosophy of "People Helping People." Owned and operated by its members, the credit union serves individuals who live or work in the counties surrounding Decatur, IL; Lafayette, IN; and Loudon, TN. Our historical roots trace back to the Great Depression when we played a crucial role in offering financial stability to Staley Manufacturing Company employees. Today, our commitment to community support remains strong as we extend our services to a broader population across Illinois, Indiana, and Tennessee.
Currently, Staley CU operates six branch locations with approximately 48 full and part-time employees. Our volunteer Board of Directors, consisting of nine members, continues to guide the credit union with a focus on member benefit and community service. We ensure transparency and accountability through annual audits conducted by an accredited accounting firm. Staley CU remains dedicated to serving its members with integrity and excellence, reflecting the enduring legacy of our founders.
