2018 Gold Discovery Days

Gold Discovery Days is an annual fundraising event for the Plumas Eureka State Park Association or PESPA.  PESPA is a non-profit organization comprised of volunteers dedicated to preserving the parks history and maintaining the parks beauty for thousands of visitors each year.  All funds raised by PESPA go back into the park and contribute greatly toward the parks operation.

This year Gold Discovery Days was held at the Plumas-Eureka State Park on the weekend of July 21-22, and Porta-Saloon was again there.  This year Porta-Saloon provided free non-alcoholic Root Beer for kids big and small.  All donations were given to PESPA in support of park operations.

As in previous years, Porta-Saloon provided the rustic back-drop of a saloon for hundreds of park visitors who took the time to dress up as minors, soldiers, old western businessmen, and of course the ladies and girls who dressed in their Sunday best.
