Hello fellow O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce & Industries members,
It has been my pleasure and honor to serve you these last 14 months as Chair for the Board of Directors, and I am thrilled to spend four more months in this role before passing it along to Chris Highfill from Grace River Church.
As a Chamber of Commerce, our mission is economic vitality for our great City of O’Fallon and the entire St. Charles County community. This means helping your business grow through our programming, networking, resources and community engagement. Together, through our businesses, neighborhoods and support of our community partners, we have contributed to making O’Fallon 26
th in the nation for the
Safest Cities to Raise a Child (
Safewise.com 2019 article on The 50 Safest Cities to Raise a Child) and the
Safest City in Missouri (
Safehome.org 2019 article on Missouri’s Safest Cities). Let’s continue our growth and prosperity through our collaboration and support.
As you know, we are in the last year of our first strategic plan. We have accomplished much in the last five years, from creating a Business Advisor Team to help your business overcome challenges, to growing our Business Alliance Roundtables (formerly known as Leads Groups). Your Board of Directors has seen to ensure the strategic plan is successful and your O’Fallon Chamber is secure for years to come. You can check out our entire strategic plan
HERE.
You will see a few changes to our organization in the coming year, if you have not noticed some recently. We are adamant about collecting your feedback on all of our events and resources. We want to know what works best for you and how we can improve our plans. In addition, our Chamber staff is committed to their professional development, so they can bring the latest best practices to our community. In all of the changes that you see and hear, we are first ensuring that it meets our mission; “
The O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce & Industries is committed to promoting the economic vitality of O’Fallon and the St. Charles County Region by engaging its members in networking and educational opportunities, while advocating for pro-business public policy.”
In January of 2020, Chris Highfill will be taking over as Chair and taking on our next Strategic Plan,
Forward O’Fallon. While the Board of Directors is currently working on putting together the best plan for our community, we would love to hear from you. We want to be a welcoming, mission driven organization. If you would like to learn more about our current or future strategic plan, feedback analysis, nominating information or anything else, please connect with me, Chris Highfill-Immediate Incoming Chair or Kathy Duck, our President & CEO.
Thank you for your continued support of the O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce & Industries and I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.
Sincerely,
Bob Engert
2019 Board of Directors Chair
