O’Fallon Chamber Members,
With the ever-changing news of COVID-19, we understand that it is challenging to keep up. While our mission of Economic Prosperity, remains the same we are innovating programs to continue serving you, our members, while promoting health and wellbeing to all our neighbors. The following events have been improved to accommodate social distancing.
Morning Schmooze (March 19): All registrants will be invited to join us in an online meeting in place of the normal face to face interactions. At this meeting, every attendant will have time to introduce themselves and their business. Following this, all contact information will be shared with the group to encourage phone connections.
Lunch & Legislators (March 20): This event will be a Webinar based format. Congressman Luetkemeyer will lead this presentation so that our members can stay up to date and informed on current events at the federal level. All registrations and payments will be moved to the next confirmed in person meeting.
Monthly Membership Luncheon (March 24): This event will also be adjusted to a Webinar based format. Tony Bryan has agreed to share best practices on Cyber Security with our members through this platform. All registrants will be invited to the Webinar and their paid registration will be moved to the next confirmed in-person meeting. At this time, we are offering our Season Ticket holders the chance to gift their deferred ticket to another at the next confirmed in person meeting.
Other approaching events: More information to come. Know that currently everything is tentative. We will keep you informed about events and new innovative ways to connect our members and grow local businesses, while practicing social distancing.
A reminder that our local restaurants and retail shops are not closed during this time. A great way to support our local businesses is to Shop Small. We want to continue to support our local small businesses and encourage you to go about ‘business as usual’ while practicing social distancing. Please remember that many restaurants have take-out options, book stores are great sources for quality reading to pass the time, banks can assist with special loan funds and many have options for those effected by the pandemic, stores often have delivery options as well and Tech companies can help with issues when trying to telecommunicate from home. I could go on, but know that helping support local businesses, while always important, is crucial at a time like this. We need you to be around not only next week or next month, but for years to come.
We have gathered information from our local banks and tech companies to offer counseling on telecommunications tools or financial needs. Our local business partners are assets to continuing economic vitality for our community. We thank those that are providing helpful information and welcome any industries that have helpful services and would like to share them, to reach out to us with the information.
Please check in with the following page on our website, to find local resources to help your business.
BUSINESS RESOURCES
If you want to support a local business, you can purchase a gift certificate now to be used later. Steps like this will enable local businesses to keep paying their staff – your friends, family and neighbors – and keep businesses viable in our community.
Our priority is for you to continue doing business. Please connect with us via phone or email for any assistance. We are happy to help!
Stay informed, stay healthy and support your neighbors.
Sincerely,
Chris Highfill
