TOP STORY

Community Partner Spotlight: Boone Center Inc.

The Boone Center (BCI), is a non-profit that is dedicated to helping those with disabilities find meaningful job opportunities! Since 1959, BCI has been helping people all over the Greater St. Louis area find work that is inclusive and adaptable to their abilities and skill set.

BCI employs those who are looking to work out in the community through their competitive employment program, as well as employees who wish to stay at BCI and work full or part time in one of BCI's packaging facilities. Additionally, they offer a vocational rehabilitation program to help individuals develop needed skills for many competitive careers.

In a publication by Lightcast in 2022, individuals with disabilities represent America's "missing workers," meaning it's generally much more difficult for them to find employment. BCI is a Community Partner that is helping break down that barrier.

The best part about BCI? Every single person who works there is happy to be there and will greet you with a high-five or a hug. BCI is a fantastic place to see first-hand how a supportive environment can help any individual succeed.

If you'd like to learn more about BCI, shoot them an email to take a tour!
