President's Corner
A Big Thank You this week to Joe Eriquez with Heart for the City for providing breakfast at yesterday's Networking Breakfast! The food was delicious and was enjoyed by everyone!
Our breakfast had an exceptional turn-out and was the perfect opportunity to get members' feedback and suggestions to make our Networking Breakfasts more relevant and productive for each business. Many ideas were offered and a committee was formed to implement a format for the recommended changes.
Make sure to attend our next Networking Breakfast on April 19th at Trine University to give your input on the new format.
Next Wednesday's Luncheon at Arizona Broadway Theatre on April 13th is about Proposition 123. If you want a thorough understanding of the proposition and its affects on Peoria schools, you will want to attend this event. See the reference to the right to register.
The Chamber is interested in forming a Women's Networking Group that is composed of members and non-members. This will not be an industry exclusive group. More details to follow, if you have an interest in being part of its formation, contact Ruby Rojas at RRojas@peoriachamber.com
Be sure to take advantage of the Job Board and our E-Coupon pages on the Chamber Website. If you need to fill a position or have a special that you want to offer, just visit our website and you can post on those pages yourself!
Thanks for your time and for reading the newsletter, I'll talk to you next week.
If you have any comments or questions please do not hesitate to call me at 623-979-3601 or e-mail me at: gerickson@peoriachamber.com

Reba Mason Receives Gift for Helping Others
Reba Mason was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011 and found out it metastasized in 2014. Since then, she has chosen to spend what time she has left raising money to help women who are in need to get free 3D mammograms. The program is called "Reba's Vision." Mason is also involved in a program called "Basket of Hope," which helps cancer patients once they're diagnosed. She has raised nearly $60,000 through her hard work.
So to say thank you, Fresh Coat painters is painting it forward. They painted the entire interior of Mason's home in Sun City Grand for free as a way to say thank you for her generosity. "I just knew her passion for life was as strong as anybody I've ever met," J.T. Trainor with Fresh Coat Painters said. It's a small token of gratitude for a woman who is in the fight of her life and also helping those around her.
