Free Car Window Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
Etching Event Is Free to the Public
The Peoria Police Department is proud to partner with the Target Corporation and Arizona Automobile Theft Authority to sponsor a free VIN etching event on Saturday, April 9 from 9 AM to 1 PM, at the Super Target at 24890 North Lake Pleasant Parkway, Peoria, AZ 85383.
VIN etching is a process of permanently etching the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on each piece of window glass on the vehicle and serves as a permanent fingerprint of your vehicle. VIN etching is an effective visual deterrent against auto theft. It only takes five to seven minutes per vehicle to complete the etching. The vehicle owner needs to show proof of registration and will be required to complete a consent form.
Information regarding the Watch Your Car Decal Program will also be available at this event from the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority.
