Below is a press release for Challenger Space Center.
While phrased beautifully, it does not describe the dire urgency of their need. If you, your employer or your friends believe in the wonderful educational programs
Challenger offers, they need your financial support right now. They are a 501 (c) 3 non-profit so all donations are tax deductible.
Their need is great and without our help, they will likely shut their doors. That would be a horrible end for an outstanding organization. Please help if you can.
Thank You,
Guy Erickson

The Challenger Learning Center of AZ located in Peoria, AZ, is facing some difficult decisions within the next few weeks. Aging building equipment and rising energy costs have created a scenario that may cause the Center to close temporarily until sufficient funds can be generated to make needed repairs and fund the tough summer utility bills in the months ahead.
It would be tragic for the community if even temporarily close the building becomes necessary, having hosted more than 400,000 children in the state of AZ through various school programs and services as well as many thousands of visitors over the 16 years it has been in operation.
Parents and educators throughout the state have recognized the Challenger Learning Center as being a leader in educating children in the various aspects of STEM education. Children currently enjoying Summer STEM Camps ages K-8
th grade are benefitting from the excellence in inspiring and exciting children to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math through various activities throughout the week of camp.
It is the hope of the Board of Directors and the Management of the Challenger Learning Center that the community will rally to support this non-profit that has touched the lives of many through their dedication to not only the preservation of the history of flight – but also their mission that was formed shortly after the disaster of the Challenger to honor those who were lost: “to inspire, educate and excite people of all ages.”
We would encourage community government and leaders to respond as quickly as possible so that there will be no interruption in services or programs. Donations can be made directly to: Challenger Learning Center, 21170 N. 83
rd Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85382 or by calling (623) 322-2012.
