Stuffing SWAG bags, picking up trophies, loading cases of water and collecting bottles of wine for the Director's Prize is what we've been up to this week.

Join the Fiesta This Saturday
 
The 2016 Fiesta Peoria is this Saturday, Sept. 24 from 2 to 10 p.m. at the Peoria Sports Complex, located at 16101 N. 83rd Ave. Attendees can enjoy live music from Ozomatli, El Chicano and Tierra all night along with traditional foods, arts and crafts, carnival rides, a rock wall, and more. Children 12 years old and younger are free and all other ages are $5 before 5 p.m. and $10 after  5 p.m. Parking at the Peoria Sports Complex is free. On Sunday, Oct. 2, Tyler Farr will headline Peoria’s P83 Party at the Peoria Sports Complex, located at 16101 N. 83rd Ave. From 1 to 6 p.m., concert goers will get the chance to hear country music from three musicians and try drinks and food from gourmet and specialty food trucks and vendors. Advance general admission tickets are $10 presale at www.p83az.com/party and $15 at the gate. VIP tickets are $25 presale and $30 at the gate. Parking at the complex is free.

11th Annual Old World Oktoberfest in Peoria

Celebrate all that is German at this family event going on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Centennial Plaza, 9875 N. 85th Ave.  The event features an official keg tapping opening ceremony at 1 p.m. Live Festmusik straight from Germany, food, competitions, rides, vendors, the first ever New World Rock-toberfest from 7-10 p.m. and a Warsteiner Special Braumeister.
