If you did not play in this year’s Asset Preservation $10 Million Shootout Golf Classic you missed something HUGE!!  Mark Hamer from Desert Diamond Casinos made a 10ft putt, a 30ft putt and then made the 50ft putt to WIN $30,000 cash!!  YEAH MARK, WAY TO GO!!

This year’s Frist Place tournament winners were Ken Parson’s team from Westside Signarama, Second Place was Ben Katz team from Lake Pleasant Realty with Third Place going to Councilmember Bill Patena’s team from the City of Peoria.  Congratulations gentlemen on a job well done!

A BIG THANK YOU to Phil Wilson and Joseph McNichols from Huntington University for filming the $10 Million Shootout and the $30,000 Putting Contest.  They took some great footage especially for Mark Hamer watching that $30,000 putt drop into the hole!  If you ever need any video work for your business or an event, reach out to Phil at Huntington and his crew will do exceptional work for you too.

Had two great Ribbon Cuttings today at our new members, Café Rio and Absolute Insurance.  Café Rio is located on the southeast corner of 75^th & Bell, stop in for lunch or dinner and check out their amazing food!  I had the Steak Burrito and it was killer!

Mark your calendar for this year’s 98^th Anniversary and Community Awards Banquet on Wednesday June 28^th.  This year we’re making it a fun informal evening with the theme “Toes in the Sand, it’s an Island Life.” Guests are encouraged to wear their comfortable “island” attire and come ready for a fun evening with dancers, island music and fire dancers.

The evening also includes our annual Community Awards, honoring individuals and businesses making a difference in the community.  We will also be recognizing the change in leadership of the Peoria Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.  See the right-hand column for the link to nominate the people or company that deserves an award.
