Artificial Grass Masters
has grown to be one of the most trusted names in artificial turf, curbing, and sun-shades in Arizona.

In 5 short years we have grown from two workers with a dream and a pick-up truck to a surging company with over 75 employees and over 15,000 installations. Artificial Grass Masters principles Joshua Apodaca (Owner) and Shawn Ramey (General Manager) opened their doors in 2013 to bring water-saving, virtually maintenance-free turf solutions to the region. As military veterans, Joshua and Shawn served together overseas and are proud to lead Artificial Grass Masters. We work with national brands and solutions across small residential backyards and interior spaces to offer gazebos, basketball courts, 19-hole putting greens, and even some of the most well-known venues in professional sports, including projects for the LA Dodgers, Chicago White Sox and pro soccer fields.

Our slogan is ‘No Water…No Work…Just Grass!’ Our company works in an extremely professional manner, with separate teams supporting customers for all aspects of operations. This allows Artificial Grass Masters to provide the highest quality service and efficiency. “The way we lead our team is not like a regular company; we lead everything like we're family, which builds trust and cohesion in the way we all work together.”

We're the only company with a price match guarantee in our industry, quality control division, and offer an extended warranty. With hundreds of 5-star reviews on Google, Yelp, Better Business Bureau, and Homeadvisor, our dedication to our homeowners speaks for itself.

As for what lies ahead, the plan is to continue expanding and spreading our water-saving, beautiful product. If you want to learn more about our products, our process, and how we can make your vision a reality, get in touch with us – we won't let you down!

Temporary Suspensions of Peoria City Sign Code Sections

Peoria Businesses:

There has been a temporary suspension on Peoria City sign code.

Resolution 2020-43 temporarily suspends the enforcement of portions of Section 21-836 of the Peoria City Code and terminates the temporary suspension upon termination of the State of Local Emergency.

The purpose of this Resolution was to acknowledge that many Peoria business needs include reaching their customers through special messaging during COVID-19. There was a proposal to suspend some sections of the Sign Code pertaining to Temporary Signage, which passed through a unanimous vote.

With this Resolution, all businesses now have access to temporary signage during the extent of the emergency declaration, while still complying with dimensional standards, such as size/area and placement restrictions.

Please see Section 21-836 for standards.

Note from the President & CEO - Scot Andrews

"Over the last several months, our Peoria business community has endured unprecedented challenges that no business could or would expect when they first invested their energy, resources and vision into their dream of owning or operating a successful business.

Many businesses have made it through, while others have closed operations and many permanently. The events of last week have shaken the nation. Our communities and businesses have borne the brunt of the rage associated with the senseless and illegal killing of an American Citizen by their own law enforcement. Our hearts go out to every person impacted and we pray for the healing of these communities and our nation.

I spent most of my career in Corporate America. Communication has always been the hallmark of great businesses, brands and leaders. We as business owners are accountable to communicate as clearly, openly and constructively as we can with those we manage, work or engage with across our community. We must communicate now clearly and with great sensitivity for each other views.
We really are fortunate to live, work and play in a superb community here in Peoria. As we exit this time of unsteadiness in the business community, we must continue to re-focus given the new realities of doing business. Those that define these strategies now will win, those that don’t most likely will not survive.

Our team here at your Chamber of Commerce, including our Board of Directors, has remained positive, supportive and attentive through this massive time of uncertainly. We continue to revitalize our value proposition according to the feedback our businesses have given us. We are excited for the future and working with each of you to make our future better together.

We will selectively begin live and virtual events, that are within all CDC guidelines in the coming weeks. Our first live event will be Women 4 Women in July. All events will continue to offer a virtual component and our locations are taking the actions required for sanitation and meeting per all current guidelines. We have a great future here in Peoria, and your Peoria Chamber of Commerce will always be here for you."

Member Event - Golf Program in Schools

June 1-5 to August 3-7
Where: Sun City Country Club
Who: GPS Golf Academy
When: Every week this summer  (Monday to Friday)
Time: 8am-11am
Cost: $225  (10% sibling discount)

On Friday we would like a family member to play with their camper. Tee off is around 9am.

Snacks provided (additional snacks welcomed).
Air Conditioned simulator room for breaks on the hour.
$225 per child  ($200 extra for family golfer sibling/cousin).

With the continuing ‘limited’ activities on offer this summer, the GPS Golf Academy is pleased to be able to offer golf camp, in a socially responsible manner.  Instead of “Open Summer Camp Enrollment,” I am proposing the following:
Parents can put their own group together, of 4-6 kids.  Family, neighbors or friends; who could golf together, outside and take breaks in the air-conditioning, socially distant necessitated.
I welcome discussions with all parents, of each camp group, regarding what type of guidelines are to be followed for each camp session.

All equipment, course fees range balls and snacks are provided. Those kids borrowing clubs will be given a set for the duration of the week (Campers only use the clubs he/she is given at the start of the week).

Pre-registration & Pre-payment required.

Member Event - Inspira Arrowhead - 6/20/2020

Join us to help support the Alzheimer’s Association in their quest to end Alzheimer’s. On June 20th we are recognizing those who are dealing with the affects of Alzheimer’s, their families, caregivers and support systems. We are doing this in three ways.

The Longest Parade | 8:00am
We are hosting a drive-through car parade to bring awareness to this disease. Participation is easy — just let us know you are coming, decorate your car purple and show up for the parade. Help us let our residents and community know how much we care.

Lighting Up The Night
We will continue to recognize Alzheimer’s and support the longest day, all through the night by lighting our communities in purple. We hope that our neighboring businesses and communities will also do the same. If you would like to make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association, we have made it easy for you. Just go here and donate online.

It’s More Than Just Raising Awareness
Raising awareness is a good first step, but to really end this disease the Alzheimer’s Association needs our help. Because of this we are hosting a fundraiser: We are hosting a penny war between the residents and the staff, so bring some spare change to participate. Families, friends and professionals will be able to drop off donations on the day of the parade as well.

For more information on how you can help in the support to end Alzheimer’s and more details on our drive-through parade, please contact us at 623-235-6400 or lhiguera@cadencesl.com
