2021 Events Update
2021 EVENTS UPDATE
This year Covid has allowed us to explore the digital opportunities that Zoom has to offer as we have transitioned several of our event series to virtual. We will continue to use Zoom as we finish out 2020 for our weekly events: Coffee for Closers, Marketing Monday, Women 4 Women, and Percolate Peoria.
We have decided to take a pause in our monthly Networking Breakfast for the month of January.
We plan to re-engage our Networking Breakfast event as we move into 2021. We want to bring you prominent community leaders and create a space where you can network with one another as business leaders and mingle over breakfast. Until we know what 2021 will bring, we hope that you will continue to join us on Zoom weekly and take part in learning ways to increase sales, market your business, and interact with other Chamber Members.

GO BIG, SHOP SMALL
Support Local Peoria Businesses
The city of Peoria has launched a shop local campaign, encouraging residents to support the Peoria business community this holiday season. As part of the campaign, consumer research was conducted to learn about consumer confidence, trends and behaviors of Peoria residents patronizing Peoria businesses during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. That research informed the campaign and helped business owners and the city of Peoria better understand consumer shopping and dining habits and behaviors during the pandemic. The “Go big, shop small” campaign will conclude in February 2021. Learn more at www.visitpeoriaaz.com/shoplocal.
Blood Donors Needed - Virtual Blood Drive
This year, more than ever, is a time to give thanks for good health. Can you give a blood donation and share your good health with a patient in the hospital? Plasma from those who’ve recovered from COVID-19, known as convalescent plasma, contains antibodies that could be used to treat patients with an active, severe COVID-19 case and give them an extra boost to fight their illness.
Wondering if you have COVID-19 antibodies? Vitalant is testing all blood donations for antibodies to SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, to help identify potential donors who could give convalescent plasma. Healthy donors may donate and will receive test results in their online account within two weeks.
To Join our Virtual Blood Drive campaign, please follow the 4 easy steps below:
- Sign up here to get your virtual blood drive invitation and you will be emailed to set an appointment:
https://learn.vitalant.org/LP=148?drive_code=P2Y465&division=SOUTHWEST%26%region=PHX
- When your email arrives click “Schedule Now” to book your appointment at the most convenient blood drive location to you. Be sure to use the same email you used when you registered on the site.
- Prepare for your donation as you usually would by eating a good meal and drinking plenty of water.

Can you help out Gompers?
Prior to COVID-19, Gompers served 500 students and adults with disabilities with a Private Day School, Adult Day Program (DTA) and Employment Services (ES) at locations in Peoria, Glendale and Phoenix. As we approach our 75 th anniversary, our mission as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit continues to transform local lives for the better with unique programming and experiences.
On September 14, 2020, Gompers welcomed back 60+ adult members and 50 drivers and staff to Adult Day Program (DTA) at our Phoenix and Peoria locations after 5 months of virtual services. Employment Services offers group supported employment in partnership with 15 local businesses across the valley, from Peoria to Mesa. Our ability to re-open and stay open is largely due to our work with HealthyVerify. In collaboration, we developed a re-opening plan, staff training and health and safety protocols that are certified in accordance with all Federal, State and Local guidelines. These safety measures require us to operate program rooms at a reduced capacity of 45%.
In order to continue services for all the individuals we supported before building closure, Gompers needs additional space and is looking for opportunities to partner with local business that have unused space. Please contact mbotterbusch@gompers.org if you can help!

Featured: Trinity Chiropractic
Dr. David Iszler and his wife, Sheryl, opened Trinity Chiropractic in March 2019. Prior to that, they owned a practice in Casper, Wyoming where Dr. Iszler practiced for 24 years. During their first visit to Arizona in 2012, they fell in love with the Valley of The Sun and dreamed of moving here to practice. In 2018, that dream became a reality when they sold their Wyoming practice and made the move to Glendale.
Before making the transition to Glendale, Dr. Iszler and his wife traveled the counrty, visiting numerous successful chiropractic practices to learn what techniques, therapies and rehabilitation procedures were providing the best long-term results for patients. They combined the best aspects of each of these practices to create the patient experience that makes Trinity Chiropractic so unique.
Dr. Iszler is advanced proficiency certified in Torque Release Technique, which is the newest technique in chiropractic. The gentle and specific, neurologically based technique delivers the chiropractic adjustments with the Integrator adjusting instrument. The Integrator is the only chiropractic instrument approved by the FDA to correct spinal misalignments. This allows very specific adjustments to only the bones that need it without the twisting and cracking that most people have come to expect from chiropractic adjustments. He also combines this gentle technique with spinal rehabilitation and state-of-the-art therapy, including laser and decompression, to optimize your results.
Sheryl Iszler, MSW operated the largest weight loss clinic in the state of Wyoming for 8 years. Her clients lost over 77,000 pounds using their doctor-supervised weight loss protocol. This low-fat, low-carbohydrate, moderate-protein program is designed tto help you lose fat while maintaining muscle mass. Additionally, individual coaching and emotional eating support is provided with this program.
Whether your needs are chiropractic or weight loss, Trinity Chiropractic is here to help you improve your health.
