Good Morning,
The Maricopa SBDC has partnered with the Peoria Chamber of Commerce to help you secure relief funding to support your business. We are here to help you obtain the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan by assisting you in calculating your eligible amount, applying, and securing funds.
The PPP is a forgivable loan designed to provide a business with assistance in paying payroll, utilities, mortgage interest, and rent costs. From now until Tuesday, March 9th at 3 pm MST, the SBA allows business owners with fewer than 20 employees to apply with special rules. Eligible PPP recipients include:
- Sole proprietors, independent contractors, and self-employed persons (New calculation available for this group using the business owner's Schedule C Form 1040 line 7 gross income)
- Any business owners who have had past non-fraud felony convictions, outstanding or delinquent student loan debt, and/or is a non-citizen status but is a lawful U.S. resident and has an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) are encouraged to apply
- Any business, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, 501(c)(19) veterans organization, or tribal business concern
- Note: Those who were denied in the past might be considered for funding during this period
More information can be found
here.
You can access PPP applications for the
First Draw and
Second Draw loans.
If you would like PPP assistance, please contact the SBDC to
request counseling, and we would be happy to help you!
Thank You,
Beginning today, February 24th through Wednesday, March 10th, the SBA will offer PPP loans only to businesses with 20 or fewer employees, independent contractors, and sole proprietors. This is an effort to support more underserved small business owners (e.g. women, minority, immigrant) that have had difficulty obtaining funding. While more guidance is expected to be released, the PPP formula for sole proprietors, independent contractors, and self-employed individuals is expected to be changed.
