Message from the CEO
As a member of the Peoria Chamber of Commerce, businesses and nonprofit organizations in and around Peoria gain access to exclusive opportunities and benefits that aid in their growth and provide an outlet to build and develop their professional network. An additional – and highly important aspect of Chamber membership – is the ability for members to undertake important community and business initiatives through participation in Chamber Committees. To ensure our chamber continues to serve as a civic leader and bridge between many sectors in Peoria and the West Valley, a new committee structure has been developed to foster more effective collaboration and better align with our vision for a prosperous economy and healthy community.
Peoria Chamber of Commerce Committees
· Education & Workforce Development (NEW)
· Government Affairs
· Military Affairs
· Women 4 Women
· Young Professionals (NEW)
Exciting, new initiatives within these committees include creating better avenues for promoting and hiring veteran talent; developing programming to support the future workforce and those early in their careers; providing educational resources for our small business community to aid in their operational needs; and establishing mentoring and professional development programs for women and young professionals.
If you would like to learn more about our Chamber Committees or sign up as a member, please visit our website at peoriachamber.com/committees or contact us at committees@peoriachamber.com.

Peoria Diamond Club Updates
What a busy year it’s been and it’s about time we spread the news about what we've been up to! The Summer has flown by and the Fall season is upon us. We ended the Spring Training season of 17 games with the energy and enthusiasm our 300 volunteers bring. So proud of our whole PDC Team for their time and efforts! Foodstock 2022 was an amazing event with 50 food trucks and plenty of fun and activities to be had at the Peoria Sports Complex! Our efforts raised $25,000 which has been given to the hungry families in our West Valley communities. Kudos again to all on that event! At the end of April, we helped raise $15,000 for Soldier’s Best Friend with our partner, Hadley’s Hope with the first High School double header baseball games for charity. Looking to next spring for a possible event, in conjunction with the PUSD to host all 7 high schools for a PDC benefit.
We could not do what we do without our sponsors, donors, and volunteers. With your support, we were able to give back $95,433.74 in Total Giving this year.
Volunteers Needed
We are expecting Spring Training baseball season to be “back to the usual”, with 32 games Feb 24th through Mar 27th, and fun times at the ballpark. We need to ramp up our volunteer recruiting efforts and know you can help us! Please reach out to those around you; family, friends, clubs, associates, neighbors, and strangers. Tell them about the amazing things the PDC does for kids in the community. Also, add how they can play a part in making the lives of all these children better by giving of their time to us in their volunteering efforts. We cover so many different things at the Spring Training baseball games that there is a job for everyone! They will have an amazing time and meet wonderful people along the way.
Send anyone interested to www.peoriadiamondclub.org to fill out the application on the volunteer page here, or email volunteers@peoriadiamondclub.org. Come have some fun this Spring and help brighten some kids' lives in the process!

Peoria Chamber of Commerce Launches Nonprofit Membership Tier
Peoria, Arizona – The Peoria Chamber of Commerce, a 501c6 nonprofit organization that serves to promote the interests of the local business community, recently approved the addition of a Nonprofit Membership Investment Tier to its membership offerings. The intent of this addition is to provide greater opportunities for nonprofit organizations in Peoria to promote the work they are doing in the community and receive valuable resources to help support their mission. In turn, this addition aims to create a more socially responsible network of businesses in the area and provide an outlet for nonprofits to establish relationships with those that can help support their many business needs.
“Having worked in the nonprofit industry for over 15 years, I understand the difficulties charitable organizations often face in dedicating funds to operational needs.” said Rhonda Carlson, President & CEO of the Peoria Chamber of Commerce. “The goal of this addition is to help bridge the gap between the business and nonprofit community by providing a membership option for our 501c3 members at a very affordable cost. Establishing worthwhile avenues for all sectors to promote their programs and services is vital to our overall success and our ability to make a greater impact; this is just one way the Peoria Chamber is striving to be a central resource and connector to all that live, work, or play in Peoria and the West Valley.”
The Nonprofit Membership Tier provides various resources, promotional opportunities, discounts, and networking activities to local nonprofit organizations at an annual dues amount of $350. For more information, please contact the Peoria Chamber of Commerce at 623.979.3601 or memberservices@peoriachamber.com. |
