Hours of OperationLodging year round, fishing dawn to dusk when the ice is off of the pond.
Lynwood Park a B&B rests placidly along the north side of the South Platte River and west of Bailey, Colorado.
The 2.25 acres of open valley and trimmed forest are inundated with the sound of the South Platte River as it delivers water to Denver. The sound ranges form a gentle trickle to a boisterous roar, depending on the time of the year. There is a 1/3 acre trout pond supporting a multitude of trout available for catching at seventy cents per inch. No license is required for pond fishing. For the more avid angler, the South Platte supports rainbow, cutthroat, brook and brown trout. These wily fish create a challenge to the angler. Colorado Fishing License is required for river fishing!
The pond is encircled on 3 sides by an emerald necklace of pine and spruce. Numerous picnic tables and a play area for the kids, will lend enjoyment to those who just want to experience the forest rather than tempt the fish!
