Formerly the Prescott Fine Arts Association (PFAA) the Prescott Center for the Arts (PCA) changed its name officially on September 1, 2011 and is located on the corner of Marina and Willis, just North of downtown Prescott, in the historic Sacred Heart Church building.
Annually, PCA presents over a dozen live theater productions, both Musicals and Plays on our Mainstage and Stage Too venues, as well as five-to-six Concerts and six-to-seven art exhibitions (in our gallery/gift shop), but that’s not all!
We have active Youth & Education Programs including an extensive summer theatre program with workshops for youth up to 14 and a Teen Summer Stock Ensemble program for ages 15 – 22 that produces a musical each Summer. To encourage the creativity of our local youth we started the Young Playwrights Festival for grades K – 12, which offers prizes for the winning playwrights and the chance to see their play come alive on stage. On top of that, to financially support our local families, PCA has operated a Youth Scholarship program for over 30 years, handing out cash awards to local youth theatre and music performers and visual artists.
With just a handful of full-time staff, PCA utilizes over 250 volunteers to make all of this happen and that number is growing, practically by the day!
Auditions open to the public are held for every theatre production and we are always welcoming new talent of all ages!
