Press Releases - South Fairfax Chamber of Commerce
19th annual Lorton Holiday Extravaganza
The Lorton Holiday Extravaganza is set for Saturday, December 7 at South County High School.
One of the largest and most popular holiday events in South Fairfax is back for its 19th year!
The annual Lorton Holiday Extravaganza draws thousands of shoppers from as far as North Carolina, West Virginia and
Delaware! Director Renee Flynn says they host a wide variety of vendors from across the mid-Atlantic region. "We have
vendors selling everything from handcrafted furniture pieces to holiday decor to jewelry. And they come to us from as
far as the Virginia Beach area, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey!"
Looking for a great gift for someone hard to buy for? One-of-a-kind pottery made on a wheel, handcrafted, body butter
creams, smoked coffee, locally produced honey and lip balm, gourmet chocolates, hot chocolate bombs, holiday breads,
cake pops, and pound cakes are also on the menu. You can have your kitchen utensils and other household items
sharpened while you shop. Look for the Snippy Bros booth near the main entrance of the show. Santa's Book Emporium
features gently used books in creative gift baskets that will delight the book lover on your list.
"Our main goal is to provide a fabulous holiday event for the South Fairfax community while providing a way to
fundraise for our high school teams and clubs and local non-profits," says Flynn.
