South Fairfax Chamber of Commerce Announces Scholarships for Local Students
Lorton, VA – The South Fairfax Chamber of Commerce is proud to support the educational aspirations of local students by offering scholarships to both rising college and trade school applicants.
We are seeking deserving high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college/university or a trade school. Eligible students have the opportunity to win a $500 scholarship to further their education. The scholarships will be presented at the Chamber's Annual Achievement Honors Gala on May 8, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
• Applicants must reside in one of the following school districts: South County, Hayfield, West Springfield, Lake Braddock, WT Woodson, Edison or Robinson.
• Eligible applicants must live in Lorton, Newington, Mason Neck, Springfield, Burke, Fairfax, Annandale, Mount Vernon, Fairfax Station, Alexandria or Clifton.
• Students must submit a completed online application, including an essay of up to 700 words.
• A minimum GPA of 2.8 is required, and applicants must submit a transcript.
• Applications must be received by April 15, 2025.
