American Legion Post #162 Benefit Concert
Upcoming fundraiser for American Legion Post 162
American Legion Post #162 suffered a devastating fire in January 2019. Not only did the fire destroy their building, but it also took away a safe haven for our veterans. The post has been a cherished part of the community for over 75 years, and they've been organizing events for members throughout the year. The upcoming renovation project will be a significant contribution to their ability to provide more services to our community.
Despite best efforts, they've encountered unexpected setbacks, particularly with the walk-in coolers and the concrete foundation they rest on. These delays have put the post in the final phase of the project. The only thing left to complete the renovation is the funding for the kitchen.
At Post 162, we believe in giving back to the community. We've supported other posts in need, including Post 317 in Marshall, NC, after Hurricane Helene destroyed their building, and to Ft. Walton Beach Post 235 to help restore their landmark tank. Now, we're reaching out to you for a little help to keep our own post going strong.
If you're able to contribute, any donation, no matter the size, will help us cross the finish line. We understand that many posts face financial challenges, but even a small amount of support can make a significant impact.
We are a non-profit organization designated as a 501(c)(3) (EIN 35-0144250) entity dedicated to providing veterans with a supportive and nurturing environment, akin to a home away from home.
The post is hosting a Post Improvement Benefit Concert on March 29 from 12p-9p. The event will feature live music and food trucks throughout the day. This is event is open to all. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
