Quintopia Free Ride Fridays Continue Plumas Transit Round Up at the Register for May Feather River Food Co-op As of May, our Round UP @ the Register recipient for both store locations will be Plumas County Fire Safe Council. The Fire Safe Council assists local residents to reduce losses from wildfire through several programs that you can learn more about with this link: www.plumasfiresafe.org Consider rounding up your change next time you shop at your locally owned Feather River Food Co-op for Fire Safe Council, where you can be confident your investment stays local. May Book Giveaway Plumas Co. Library Health Fair Happening Now Plumas District Hospital We have appointments available for our May Health Fair. The health fair provides community members with the opportunity to have draws done at a discount. Our first health fair will be held during the first two weeks of May, Monday - Saturday, 7am - 11am. Call 530.283.2121, press option one and ask to schedule an appointment for the health fair. Appointments are required. Cinco de Mayo All Day! Hi Everyone, Below are some great story topics for our region this month from Visit California. Deadline to email your story ideas to me is Tuesday May 10th. A reminder that 150-words is the maximum for a story idea. Just a couple sentences is acceptable if you are short on time to write more. The information bulleted below must be included for Visit California to consider your submission. • Include a 1-2 high res photos with your story if possible and the name of the photographer for photo credits • Story content should not be a Press Release and needs to be 150 words or less • Include a public contact including name, email, and phone number Topics for this month: California Craft Beer How has the craft beer industry fared during the pandemic? What are the current hot spots in your destination? Are there specific tasting rooms or beers visitors will want to seek out? Active Adventure What are the unique ways thrill-seeking visitors can get their kicks in your destination? Be sure to share any information regarding seasonality, safety, etc. Summer of Sun Travelers are ready for summer exploration, but with rising prices they’re looking to get the most out of their trip plans. Share any deals or value-add experiences that sun-seekers should have on their radar. What's New in Wellness With the extended stress of the pandemic, personal well-being continues to be in-demand for travelers. What new options are out there for those looking to rejuvenate? White elephant, garage sale, yard sale, whatever you want to call it, we fill up the Serpilio Hall with cool stuff that you need!
