Fair Parade a Huge Hit!

Although Saturday, July 30th was brutally hot, that didn’t stop hundreds of folks from coming on down to enjoy the long-anticipated 75th Annual Plumas-Sierra County Fair Parade in downtown Quincy!

The event went very smoothly, with a huge shout-out to Quincy Tow for coming to the rescue of one of our classic car entries.  We had a fantastic variety of entries this year and we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.

A world of thanks to all the wonderful entries this year - everyone was patient, kind, and really did a great job representing our community! Thank you for your participation!

We’d like to thank all the volunteers who really helped make this event happen:  John Kolb, Matthew Haesche and Cheryl Kolb for setting up "No Parking" cones on Lawrence and Main Street Thursday night, Susan Scarlett and Kaela Zigas for running the staging booth on Lindan Avenue, John Kolb, Buzz and Carla McCann and Cindy Leland for traffic control in the staging area,  Judges Kris and Butch Miravalle, Freddy and Sara Holman, Michele Cruz, “Judge Judy” Leland, Robin Wight, Martee Graham, Denise Pyper, Kat Culhane, Greg Walsh and Alex Westerberg, Communications Manager Ronnie Fitzpatrick, Photographer Lisa Kelly, Event Coordinator Cheryl Kolb, and Alyssa Zigas, Jorge Guzman and Cheryl Kolb for taking down the "No Parking" cones Saturday afternoon.

Season Tickets Now Available!

West End Theatre

We are elated to announce that we will once more have a FULL Season of Plays starting this September!

We have a lot to celebrate as we open our 2022-2023 Season this fall. Not only is our theatre open again, but it is the West End Theatre’s 10 year anniversary! We look forward to celebrating this milestone by opening our season with the very first production that graced the West End stage ten years ago, the witty and hilarious comedy, Parallel Lives! Then, this holiday season, audiences will laugh out loud with a stirring rendition of A Christmas Chaos. February brings us On Borrowed Time which has been referred to as “a cute little comedy about death.” Finally, this spring, Feather River College will produce the musical favorite, Guys and Dolls

Quincy Trails Update

Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship

The Quincy Trail Crew has been focusing on Mt. Hough and Development Phase 2 for their trail building, and WOW have they been on a roll!

The Chandler Loop (4.5 miles) as been completed, as well as adding a mile to Huffelberry, 1.75 miles to the new trail being built above Chandler, and more than a mile and a half to a lower extension of Tollgate and one mile to upper Tollgate! That makes the complete Tollgate Trail 4.63 miles of AWESOME that connects to the main Mount Hough Trail on both ends! Also, 1.75 miles of trail have been added that connects Hough to the King Solomon Road. And more Quincy trails on the way!
