Downieville Classic: Trail Effect Podcast

Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship

Nearly 30 years after Greg Williams started what became the Downieville Classic, the race still hits the same. "It’s incredible. The power, the distance people will travel, the money they’ll spend in the town for the experience, I don’t think there’s anything like it. I’m the biggest fan. I love being on the trail, I love building trails, I love the people that it attracts to these towns."

Tune into this week's episode of the Trail Effect podcast as Greg discusses the early days of the Classic and how it led to the formation of the Stewardship, then post up at the keyboard—registration for the return of the Classic, presented by Santa Cruz Bicycles, is in FOUR days. https://www.traileaffectpodcast.com/greg-williams-of-the.../

Benefits of Being a Woman-Owned Business

Sierra Small Business Development Center

One of the biggest benefits to becoming a certified woman-owned small businesses is for contracting purposes. The federal and state government, as well as many private sector companies, seek to do business with certified woman-owned small businesses and will place higher priority on awarding work and contracts to them. There are two types of certifications, and we (the Sierra SBDC) can help you with both! Our Advisor, Bill Teeple,  specializes in assisting with these certifications.

Here is a good article that sums up a lot of this information:

(VERY GOOD ARTICLE!)
