Mountain Biking Events Registration Open

Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship

The Downieville Classic All Mountain two-day stage race is known for being one of the most epic events in mountain biking—also for how quickly it sells out. But this year we were able to add 100 additional slots to the category and most of those are still available. Don't sleep on this opportunity to join us at this iconic event for a full weekend of racing, revelry, live music and all-around good vibes and good people in the mountains. The 25th anniversary Downieville Classic Festival & All Mountain World Championships, presented by Santa Cruz Bicycles takes place over the weekend of July 13-16, 2023.  Link to registration.

More into gravel? Registration is also open for the Lost & Found Gravel Festival on June 3 in Portola. Riders choose from 35-, 60- and 100-mile courses that all pass through some of the most beautiful terrain in the Lost Sierra, as well as some of the best aid stations in the game, and are greeted at the finish with a rockin’ post-ride party. Link to registration.

Both of these events are significant fundraisers for the Stewardship, with all profits supporting the work our Pro trail crews maintain trails throughout the Lost Sierra region. New this year, you can earn your entry fees back by fundraising for the Stewardship—simply raise double what you paid in entry fees in donations and we’ll refund your fees after the race. Find more information here and here.
