Join the Fun at the Plumas Sierra County Fair Parade

Quincy Chamber of Commerce

It's time to plan our parade for "The Last Best Little County Fair!" This year's theme for the 76th Annual Plumas-Sierra County Fair is “Stars, Stripes & Summer Nights.” We encourage all types of community groups and individuals to showcase their unique style as we unite in taking pride in our region.

What makes your contribution to Plumas and Sierra Counties unique?! Show us what you've got! We want to include representation from all over our local area. Please submit the Entry Form & Hold Harmless Agreement with $15 entry fee by Saturday, July 22nd.

We encourage you to please submit early to confirm your participation and help us with planning. Entry forms are available at Plumas Bank and The Toy Store, and are also available on our website.

Our Honorary Mayor is Red Powell and our Grand Marshall is to be decided soon (open to suggestions). We look forward to an exciting and engaging event to celebrate our local community!

Trivia returns tonight! 6/1 at 6:30. You could have the glory too! Bring your brains and your beer drinking for a chance to name and help with the next Trivia beer! Tonight’s prizes generously sponsored by The Toy Store with some adult themed game giveaways 😎 🍻

Gallery Reception for Felted Art by Lorraine Nielsen

Plumas Arts

Join us at the Gallery this Friday for a reception featuring Lorraine Nielsen~
"These sculpted, felted creations are pieces of place, speaking their voices from the land, from respectfully foraged and windfall gifts from the landscape, and expressing images seen or imagined: everyday yet extraordinary moments and introspective visions. This current, eclectic collection includes pieces from the Dixie Fire trauma, images of hope and beauty, and an exploration of the rewilding concept."

Lost and Found Gravel Festival Portola

Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship

Volunteers Needed!! We're looking for course marshals for Saturday's race to stage at various intersections along the course. Shifts vary from two to six hours, and we'll set you up with free weekend camping, food and beverages, some sweet swag and guaranteed good times. Come spend the weekend with us in Portola! Find all the details and sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b094da9a62caafb6-lost7#/

What an honor to have the talented Chris McNally create this beautiful watercolor to celebrate Portola as the epicenter of Lost Sierra gravel riding, highlighting Smith Peak Fire Lookout and Lake Davis, two of the many defining characteristics of the riding in the area. With easy access to hundreds of miles of backcountry gravel roads and routes that connect to Truckee and Reno, Portola is the perfect jumping off point for adventure by drop-bar bike. The network of Forest Service roads allows riders to link up multiple rural communities, similar to the eventual goal of SBTS' Connected Communities project, which aims to connect 15 mountain towns by multi-use singletrack, using the outdoor recreation economy to bolster longterm prosperity in the Lost Sierra. Pick up a poster in the SBTS merch booth at this weekend's Lost and Found Gravel Festival presented by Cervélo and help support Connected Communities.
