There is time this week for locals to stop into the fair office and get discounted tickets (only $40, only sold at the Fair Office). When I moved to this rural community, I was shocked to learn that so few resources were available for people struggling with addiction, trauma, mental health, and socio-economic concerns. Nonprofit and cooperative organizations that meet the requirements can now apply for the Feather River Food Co-op's Round up at the Register fundraising program for 2024. Since 2018, the program has helped Co-op shoppers raise over $70,000 for nonprofit organizations. Each month in 2024, FRFC shoppers can round up their total at checkout to support a nonprofit organization of their choice. Every donation counts towards making a positive impact and potentially donating $1000 or more to a worthy cause. To qualify, nonprofit and cooperative organizations must align with the Food Co-op's mission and demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of life in their community.
