Some of her art may have a dark side, too, but even those pieces include a hint of light or hope."

Stay Tuned...

Rethink Industries

As I began my career as a licensed mental health and substance abuse professional, I started my private practice immediately upon receiving my licensure. I knew, after several years of interning, that I struggled to follow the red tape of many agency frameworks as I often found it; although crucial for internal structure, safety, and of course, to avoid any legal issues, I felt committed to prioritizing client well- being while providing completely individualized treatment.

I've seen firsthand the devastation that addiction and trauma can cause. When I moved to this rural community, I was shocked to learn that so few resources were available for people struggling with addiction, trauma, mental health, and socio-economic concerns.
I knew I had to do something to help, so I started a trauma and addiction center.

Stay tuned.....

Round Up @ The Register

Feather River Food Co-op

Round UP @ the Register!

Nonprofit and cooperative organizations that meet the requirements can now apply for the Feather River Food Co-op's Round up at the Register fundraising program for 2024.
Since 2018, the program has helped Co-op shoppers raise over $70,000 for nonprofit organizations.

Each month in 2024, FRFC shoppers can round up their total at checkout to support a nonprofit organization of their choice. Every donation counts towards making a positive impact and potentially donating $1000 or more to a worthy cause.

To qualify, nonprofit and cooperative organizations must align with the Food Co-op's mission and demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of life in their community. The focus areas include Community Health & Wellness, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Environmental Issues, Food Systems and Agriculture, Local Arts and Culture, Organizations in Support of Co-ops, and Social Services and Food Access.

Thank You!

Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship

THANK YOU to a few key product sponsors whose durable gear kept our Youth Crew kids dry, comfortable and safe over the course of two four-week hitches this season. Osprey Packs donated technical packs to our entire crew of 20 kids, which was a huge boost to the program, while REI provided a proper Wilderness First Aid kit and two 18.5-liter LifeSaver water purifiers. Red Wing Shoes stepped up big by donating Vasque Footwear boots to the entire crew this year—river crossings? No problem. Support like this helps us ensure access to gear isn't a barrier to kids participating in our Youth Crew program.  If you're interested in sponsoring next year's Youth Crew, let us know! Drop us a line here or email Marty@sierratrails.org.

Retail Theft

Assemblywoman Megan Dahle

Retail theft has emerged as a significant issue affecting businesses across the state, causing hardships and closures, particularly in urban areas. We believe that gathering insights directly from business owners like those you represent can provide a clearer understanding of the issue and contribute to the development of effective strategies to mitigate its impact.

To achieve this, we have designed a brief survey tailored to business owners. This survey aims to delve into their experiences, challenges, and viewpoints on retail theft over the past few years.

To complete the survey, click here.  Please respond by September 5th.
