Rose-Stella is the owner of Ms. Rose's TheraPlace. She's an intuitive pediatric Occupational Therapist and engaging public speaker who holds a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. Since 2008, she has provided early intervention treatment for infants through the local ALTA Regional Center and currently works with children in general and special education classes. She is certified in behavior management strategies for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder by the Placer County SELPA and is certified by the Sensory Processing Therapy and Research (STAR) Institute, a world leader in research and treatment for sensory processing disorder.
Rose enjoys sharing her knowledge, especially as it relates to the most important time in life, childhood. She has a passion for raising awareness about invisible disabilities. Her interactive workshops offer different perspectives for identifying and working with children with a range of abilities. Using an engaging public speaking style, Rose is effective at communicating complex ideas and making them relatable to any audience demographic, from children to healthcare specialists. Rose is a conference presenter for the California Association for the Education of Young Children, and guest lectures at Sacramento State University and Sierra College. She gives workshops to the Young Professionals Conservatory at the Sacramento Theatre Company, in addition to workshops for educators and parents about Sensory Processing Integration, learning readiness, and Autism.
