About Douglas Ridge Riffle Club
Douglas Ridge Rifle Club
Douglas Ridge Rifle Club, established in 1956, stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of marksmanship and community. Nestled across 130 acres of picturesque landscape, including Douglas Fir woods and sprawling meadows, our club offers a sanctuary for shooting enthusiasts amidst a backdrop of rural tranquility. Boasting a comprehensive array of six ranges, including the state's longest Long Range spanning an impressive 1,000 yards, we cater to over 800 members and support a diverse range of shooting disciplines, elevating the art and skill of shooting to new heights on the West Coast.
Operated under a meticulous conditional use permit, Douglas Ridge Rifle Club is steered by a dedicated board of officers and trustees, guided by a robust set of by-laws. Our commitment to safety is paramount, with a Chief Range Safety Officer overseeing the training and supervision of Range Safety Officers, ensuring that every shooting activity maintains the highest standards of safety and protocol. Furthermore, our club fosters a culture of inclusivity, as evidenced by our handicap-friendly facilities and a proactive approach to member engagement. Through monthly newsletters, open membership meetings, and collaborative volunteer initiatives, we cultivate a vibrant community where every member's contribution enriches both the club and the shooting sports it champions.
