Sean Nobmann is a fifth-generation native Californian born in Petaluma. He was raised on Mercer Island, Washington, and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Chile Santiago North mission. After returning to BYU, Mr. Nobmann taught at the Missionary Training Center for four years, where he met fellow teacher Katherine Robbins Nobmann.
Sean and Katherine were married in 2002 and they are the parents of four sons. After graduating from BYU in 2003, Mr. Nobmann obtained a law degree from Duke University. While at Duke, he was asked to be the International Student Chair of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, which serves LDS lawyers and students throughout the world.
Mr. Nobmann began his career at the Houston office of international law firm Bracewell LLP. While at Bracewell, Mr. Nobmann worked as an associate in the firm’s Civil Litigation department, working on complex cases involving defense contractors, oil companies, foreign hydroelectric companies, insurance companies, and state governments.
