Check Information and Membership Status

2022 Chamber Magazine Member Directory

We are preparing for the 2022 Chamber Magazine. Please check your business name and information to make sure it is correct before we send it to be printed. Another important thing to check is membership status. We will be updating the list of up-to-date members to the printer. This is a great way to get your name out into the community. This directory alone pays for your membership; make sure it is correct and current!

Open For Business Online Marketplace

Please let us know if you do not wish to participate

We hope that you have been able to learn about the new Online Marketplace program that we brought to our members in 2021. We are looking into adding a new gift card program this year. Gift cards can be purchased through the online platform and be used at any of the participating business. If someone purchases a $25 gift card the recipient can even use it at several participating merchants. We hope this opens up more opportunities to grow your business while bringing greater benefits to our members.

If you have not had a chance to learn how the program works we encourage you to do so. If you still have questions you can reach out to us as well as Chamber Nation. They have training opportunities as well as many great member help services free to you. If this program is not something you want to participate in please let us know adn we can shut it off. We pay for each business platform and if it isn't something you want to use at this time we can turn it off.

Farewell and Thank You

As a chamber organization, we are able to rub shoulders with many unique and talented business owners and individuals. It is a pleasure to serve with those who get involved and serve on the board of directors. The hardest part is when their terms end, and we have to see them leave the board. Gratefully, they are active chamber members, so they will continue to stay involved.

These many years, it has been a pleasure serving with Luis Muzquiz, owner of La Casita, and Brad Gasaway, V.P. of Marketing at Namify.

We want to thank Brad and Luis. They know the importance of the connection of businesses and the community they serve and have put in long hours to improve both. When you see them, thank them for their service in our communities.

New Year & New Additions

The Springville-Mapleton Chamber continues to roll out new programs and eagerly welcomes the new year. We have a growing board of talented entrepreneurs ready to begin 2022. It is exciting to introduce new members to the Springville-Mapleton Chamber Board of Directors. We want to introduce and welcome Brian Johnson, Sunpro, and Amanda Kuhnz Spencer, Merit Preparatory Academy. They are eager to jump in and serve where they are needed. Don't hesitate to reach out to either Brian or Amanda or any board member for questions, to get involved, or to say "hello."

Board Spotlight

Brian Johnson, Vice Chair

Brian and his wife, Janet, have been married for 35 years. Both Janet and Brian grew up in Iona, Idaho just outside of Idaho Falls. They have three daughters, Rachael (Kappas), Ashley (Luebke), and Miranda (Kilmer) and 5 grand children.
Before joining WWCLYDE in 2006, Brain worked at Sears for 17 years with Sears before joining WWCLYDE in 2006 as their HR Director. I joined Sunpro in 2011 managing our store and gas station in Springville. I now work with all of our Retail locations across the company as the Retail Manager. I have previous experience on the Chamber Board, and am excited to once again be a part of the Chamber of Commerce leadership team!

Brian is serving on the Executive Board as the Vice Chair and will be the 2023 Chair of the Board. Brian has many years of board experience and we are excited that he accepted the nomination as Vice Chair.

Board Spotlight

Amanda Kuhnz, Membership Chair

We want to welcome and introduce Amanda to the Board of Directors. Amanda is our new Membership Chair. Please reach out to her for any membership questions or if you would like to join the committee.

"My name is Amanda Kuhnz Spencer.  I am originally from California, but have lived in Springville since 2017.  I have served as the Assistant Director and Athletic Director at Merit Preparatory Academy in Springville, UT since 2017.  I played softball at and graduated from Northwestern University in 1999 with a BA in Sociology and a minor in Psychology.  I attained my MEd at University of Redlands in 2002 before beginning my now 16 year stint in education.  I have spent time teaching in Siberia, Russia and have served on various curriculum committees for a variety of educational programs.  I have also had the privilege of serving on a couple political campaign committees in my previous communities. My goal is to create a cohesive relationship between the community and the educational arena. I believe we can achieve more of what we need and want by working together.  I am excited to serve on the Chamber Board as the Membership Chair to meet the needs of Springville's citizens, especially as our community grows."
