2022 Chamber Magazine Member Directory

We are preparing for the 2022 Chamber Magazine. Please check your business name and information to make sure it is correct before we send it to be printed. Another important thing to check is membership status. We will be updating the list of up-to-date members to the printer. This is a great way to get your name out into the community. This directory alone pays for your membership; make sure it is correct and current!

Open For Business Online Marketplace

Please let us know if you do not wish to participate

We hope that you have been able to learn about the new Online Marketplace program that we brought to our members in 2021. We are looking into adding a new gift card program this year. Gift cards can be purchased through the online platform and be used at any of the participating business. If someone purchases a $25 gift card the recipient can even use it at several participating merchants. We hope this opens up more opportunities to grow your business while bringing greater benefits to our members.

If you have not had a chance to learn how the program works we encourage you to do so. If you still have questions you can reach out to us as well as Chamber Nation. They have training opportunities as well as many great member help services free to you. If this program is not something you want to participate in please let us know adn we can shut it off. We pay for each business platform and if it isn't something you want to use at this time we can turn it off.

Morning TARGET Workshop

7:45am-9am; Second Tuesday of the Month

Tuesday, February 8th Morning TARGET Workshop

Elected city officials from both Springville City and Mapleton City attended the February 8th morning workshop. We want to thank them for taking the time to speak with members.

Some highlight from the event:
Springville City Council Members talked about the importance of economic development and shared their interest to hire an Economic Development Director to strategically retain and attract businesses. They see the importance of an EDD to be able to seek out feedback from business owners about what the city can do to help small businesses and decrease the red tape that can create barriers to business.

Mapleton City Council Members shared a variety of approaches and perspectives to the fast paced development on the south side where the current plan brings in 1700 homes in this area. With the fast growth throughout the city, and now on this south end, Council Members explained how they are working to diversify the city income sources by bringing fiber internet to citizens which will be a strong benefit for businesses that are looking for a place to locate.

Council Members in Springville and Mapleton City agreed that there are challenges with the current and continued growth - traffic and transportation being a top concern. Mayor Packard shared the the steps that have been discussed to address the growth and traffic of both cities, including Spanish Fork, on 1600 S highway access. He discussed his wishes to make Springville and its citizens become a united community, not separated into different areas based on time of development or tenure in the community.

The workshop was a great event to have these elected officials all share with business owners their stance on economic development and their goals for the future success of our communities.

Mark our calendar with future dates: April 12, May 10, July 12, August 9, October 11, and November 8
