The 9/11 Day of Service Springville planning committee has been meeting to discuss different opportunities to serve this coming September during the 9/11 Day of Service recognition. The Chamber will be organizing a project to showcase our local heroes. Participating businesses and Springville schools will have the opportunity to dedicate a wall/hall to highlight their clients, family members and/or friends who have served, who are serving, and our local heroes who serve us every day. We want to celebrate all those who give tirelessly to serve and protect.
Watch for a schedule and updates. Email info@springvillemapletonchamber.org with any questions or to volunteer for this project.
The 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance was officially recognized by Congress in 2009. Congress “encourages all to volunteer, support charities, and perform other good deeds and acts of kindness that help others in the spirit of remembrance, unity, and service.”
