Mission
The Wildwood Wildcats Booster club is a volunteer organization working to supplement and support various Wildwood Middle High School (WMHS) programs, including but not limited to; academic, athletic, arts/music, and special school-wide projects. We are a group of community volunteers from The Villages, Wildwood, and surrounding areas. We tutor and mentor students; volunteer at school events; promote school events; assist administrators, teachers, and coaches; and solicit, and provide financial support when there are needs that cannot be met under the school budget. we work closely with the school administration, and liaison teachers and coaches, by understanding their needs and priorities. it is our intent to enhance WMHS programs through the active involvement of Boosters and other community leaders.
History
The Club was founded in May 2018 by Kathy and Pete Beinetti. Through association with some WMHS students and faculty, they discovered that the school had unmet needs. There was no PTA and no Booster Club. A meeting was arranged to see if people in The Villages and the surrounding community would be interested in forming a Club to support the school. Eighty-five people came to the meeting. It was decided that the Club would support all areas of the school -- academics, arts, music, athletics, and all other areas of need. A major project was initiated to place a bronze wildcat mascot in the school entryway to signify our Club's determination to support the school. Today there are nearly 200 Club members providing a wide range of support throughout the school.
