Best Friends Humane Society is a private, non-profit organization serving Worth County and the incorporated cities within the county. The Shelter has been open since February 1, 2011.
The goals of BFHS are to find loving homes for the abandoned and unwanted companion animals in this area. We strive to educate the community through our schools on the responsibilities of pet ownership. We also provide Animal Control Services for the City of Sylvester and Worth County.
BFHS is located at 787 Ephesus Church Road, Poulan, GA 31781. The office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 4:00 pm, appointments are also available evenings and weekends. The phone number is 229.777.7774, please leave a message and your call will be answered as soon as possible.
Donations are always welcome. BFHS needs your time, treasure and talents. Supplies most needed are: dog, cat & puppy food; bleach, paper towels, Dawn dish soap, laundry detergent, slightly used or new collars and leashes and towls.
BFHS strives to be an active part of our community and invites all members of our community to join us through membership.
