About Best Friends Humane Society
Best Friends Humane Society in Worth County is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to caring for the unwanted and abandoned animals in our community.
After a complete examination, vaccinations, and a 5 day quarantine period, animals are available for adoption.
The mission of the Best Friends Humane Society in Worth County is ‘Striving to eliminate neglect, abuse, and cruelty for all companion animals in Worth County through adoption, advocacy, education, and action.’
In addition, the Best Friends Humane Society seeks to incorporate the Best Practices, wherever possible, as noted in the “Guidelines for Standards of Animal Care in Animal Shelters” by the Association of Shelter Veterinarians, 2010.
Volunteers are gratefully welcomed as are members of the Auxiliary Board.
Donations are always welcome. The list of most used items includes:
Dog & puppy food, cat & kitten food, and kitty litter
Bleach, Dawn Liquid, paper towels, laundry detergent, and towels
Dog crates - all sizes
New, or slightly used collars & leashes
