The Sylvester Worth County Chamber of Commerce along with its Government Committee had its Student Government Tour on Friday, May 6th, 2022. The purpose of this tour is to expose our youth to our local government and businesses and the impacts they have on the community. This tour included 25 students including 8th grade ambassadors and a few 6th graders from Counselor's Corner. Also, some of our directors and ambassadors joined us during the tour.
During this tour the students visited the following government entities: The Sylvester Police Department, The 4-H Office ,The Worth County Courthouse, The Worth County Sheriff's Office, The Tax Commissioner, The Tax Assessor, The Worth County Zoning and Code Enforcement Office, The E-911 Office, as well as meeting with the Mayor of Sylvester, City Manager, City Clerk, and City Councilmen. These students also were able to witness traffic court and speak with Judge Powell. Lunch was from FatBoy’s as well.
We would like to give a special thank you to the Worth County Middle School and Worth County Schools for providing transportation, each and every community member and government entity who made this tour possible!

 This is a three-day camp focused on science, technology, engineering, and math for rising 5th-8th grade 4-Hers. Please bring a sack lunch each day and contact your local Extension office to register!

Three days of learning about water through agriculture, ecosystems, and fun. Visit Gin Creek, Stripling Irrigation Park in Camila and Water World water park in Dothan, AL.

We are so excited to kick off the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce’s 2022 50/50 Raffle! 

Firstly, we would like to thank everyone who participated in last year’s raffle! It is due to this participation that the Chamber will be able to provide scholarships to six Worth County High School CTAE 2022 graduates! We would like to be able to provide even more scholarships via this year’s raffle! 

Just like last year’s raffle, we will be hoping to reach a goal of $20,000! That means one person will win up to $10,000! Our portion of the raffle will go to CTAE scholarships at Worth County High School and as well as going back into our Shop Local program! The tickets will be $20 apiece and will be sold from now to December 15th, 2022! The tickets can be purchased at the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce!
